“Rebecca is a great songwriter – inventive and interesting. She doesn’t try to copy anyone else but sticks to her own style, as real artists should, yet she’s also an excellent collaborator. A pleasure to work with.”
Simon Napier-Bell, CEO SNB Music & Media, UK & Thailand

An abundance of vitality and passion which leaves you in no doubt that she is a gifted and talented individual. Hugely impressive – Rebecca is the sort of Christian (who) doesn’t settle for compromise
Robin Thompson, Cross Rhythms UK Radio

Hello everyone and welcome to my updated website. I am still working on it but in the meantime please check out my new song “Give it Back” along with a couple of videos I recently posted on You Tube and a selection of some old songs from way back when I was performing under the name Rebecca Roberts. Please don’t forget to like my page on Facebook. Thanks for stopping by and please come back soon!

British born Rebecca Walker Jones was a finalist at the 1992 London Songwriters’ Showcase at Ronnie Scott’s. Rebecca also represented England in The Women Of The World series in which twelve countries each sponsored a female singer/songwriter. She then formed the band “Life” which was managed by Simon Napier-Bell (WHAM!, Marc Bolan, Dusty Springfield), but after a series of showcases that brought little response from the UK record industry Rebecca decided to pursue her career elsewhere. She moved from London to Nashville, TN where she met her husband Christopher and via Simon Napier-Bell signed a publishing deal with Sony BMG.

Rebecca spent the next few years, being a mother of three small children, running a successful real estate business and performing her original songs in Los Angeles, London and Nashville. She and her family moved from Nashville to Atlanta, Atlanta to Dorset, England and then from England to Normandy, France.

In 2009 after experiencing a sudden illness that led to a complete voice loss for five months Rebecca wrote  “I learned never to take my voice or my health for granted. I promised God (and myself) that if I ever got my voice back I would move back to the States and rekindle my dream of being a professional singer/songwriter. There are only two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle; the other is as though everything is a miracle. I am so excited about all the new songs I have written and I look forward to the future with a sense of purpose, destiny and gratitude!”

Now back in America (and still married with three children) Rebecca is currently balancing a career as a business broker (selling privately held companies in Auburn and Opelika), running Opelika Unplugged at The Event Center Downtown, teaching drama at her children’s’ school and writing songs for the Christian, Pop and Country markets. Her contemporary Christian CD entitled “Still Searching” features ten original tracks and is available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/rebeccawj

As a proud member of the NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) Rebecca is concentrating on writing and co-writing in a variety of genres and plans to record a new CD by the end of the year.
